2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition is back in black

GMC has announced that the Sierra Elevation Edition truck will return for 2016. This truck has styling enhancements and features that are new to the Sierra 1500 line of trucks. Those enhancements include revised front-end styling and new HID projector beam headlamps with signature GMC LED lighting. The Elevation Edition truck is available on the Sierra double cab edition.

The entire truck is blacked out with black body-color moldings, door handles, mirror caps, grille surround, and body color bumpers. The wheels are 20-inch units that are painted black. The truck also wears Elevation Edition badging on the doors.

Inside the truck, buyers get a 7-inch diagonal screen on the radio and that infotainment system supports CarPlay and Android Auto integrating smartphones into the system. Other features include OnStar 4G LTE and an integrated hotspot for WiFi devices.

Elevation Edition trucks get keyless entry, a remote locking tailgate, outside heated power mirrors, 110-volt AC outlet, black recovery hooks, and a six speaker stereo. Standard power comes from a 4.3L EcoTec V6 with 285hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. A 5.3L EcoTec V8 is available as an option. Elevation Edition buyers can get the truck in 4WD or 2WD versions. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
