2015 BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle packs up to 300hp

BMW has unveiled the latest iteration of its BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle. The X3 is a mid-size SUV that has a number of options available to make it as luxurious as the driver wants. For 2015, the SUV can be had as a rear wheel drive car for the first time.

That rear wheel drive X3 sDrive28i is coming to the US for the first time and is now the entry-level model. The X3 is restyled on the inside and out for the 2015 model year. BMW says that the car will go on sale in the spring of 2014 as a 2015 model.

The X3 will start at $39,325 for the X3 sDrive28i in rear wheel drive. The X3 xDrive28i featuring All-wheel drive will start at $40,725. The top of the line X3 model is the X3 xDrive35i starting at $45,825. BMW also offers a diesel version called the X3 xDrive28d that starts at $42,825. All of those prices include the BMW $925 delivery fee.

The SUVs can be fitted with a number of options that will drive the price up. Options include LED headlights among other things. The X3 is offered with engines delivering 180hp with a turbo four cylinder up to 300hp with a six-cylinder engine. BMW offers an xLine version of the car with metallic inserts in the bumpers, side cladding, and special wheels among other tweaks. There is also an M Sport version that gives an aerodynamic package, special wheels, and more.
