Quicktionary TS provides instant translations

We've seen quite a few of these pen-based translation devices on SlashGear before, but this one definitely stands out from the crowd. The Quicktionary TS is a tad bulky but offers on the spot convenience.

So lets say you're reading a novel. You're really into the book but you come across a phrase that's in Spanish. Normally, you'd probably have to hit the Internet to get a translation and by the time you do that, you'll be pulled out of the story. The Quicktionary TS makes it so you can translate text by just placing the device over the text.

It has a 400 dpi scanner built-in on the tip of the pen. This means you can scan words or a full line of a text at a time to get an instant translation that's word for word. The pen comes equipped with English to Spanish, Spanish to English, English to French and French to English plus the American Heritage Dictionary. You can also listen to how words are spoken in case you have trouble pronouncing something. The Quicktionary TS costs $190.
