YouTube's 2016 Review: Rattlesnakes, Pineapple Pens And More
It's that time of the year when companies evaluate their platforms across the last year, compiling interesting tidbits of data. We've already seen Flickr's end of year data, and now we have YouTube's year-in-review. The video service calls this YouTube #Rewind, and it highlights the biggest trends it saw over the past year, as well as the top ten videos overall and the top ten music videos.

According to YouTube, the Adele Carpool Karaoke was the most popular video for the year, with the odd Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen video coming in second, and What's Inside's look at a rattlesnake rattler coming in third. Here's the full list:

YouTube says those videos alone were watched about 550 million times for a total viewing time of more than 25 million hours. Meanwhile, YouTube also highlighted the top ten music videos of the year, showing the popular musical tastes for 2016. The full list:
