Verizon and Motorola unveil the Entice W766

Verizon Wireless and Motorola have announced a new handset called the Entice W766. The handset is a clamshell design that is centered on one-touch access to popular features like music. The clamshell form factor may be old school looking in today's touchscreen, tablet -style market but the device has the features you expect in a modern feature phone.

The W766 has external touch sensors for easy access to the music player and speakerphone. The displays are large and set up for easy reading. The camera and camcorder of the device has 2MP resolution.

Memory is via microSD cards of up to 8GB and the handset has A2DP, HSP, and HFP Bluetooth profiles. Most all Verizon services are supported by the handset including VZ Navigator, Family Locator, Mobile Email, Mobile IM, and Dashboard. The handset also has a Backup Assistant to keep the phone book on a secure website. The W766 is available now for $39.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
