Trello Reports 7 Million Users As App Updates On iOS
Trello, the app that acts like a whiteboard (or to-do list, your call) has a pretty large user base. Co-founder of Trello, Michael Pryor, now says the app has over seven million users, with an additional 120,000 signing up each week. It might be a rare case of underground success, too, as Pryor also says "eighty percent of sign-ups come from word of mouth". Not content with simple success, Trello recently updated, which should bring even more users.
If you're not familiar with Trello, think of it as the most robust to-do list you've ever seen. Trello is especially handy if you're a big fan of post-it notes, as the app treats your to-dos like a whiteboard laid out with rows of post-it notes.
The best part about Trello is that it's great for just about anything. You can create shopping lists, traveling lists, or use it for work.
Trello is also coming out of the shadows a bit with a new update for iOS. In addition to a slightly revamped look, Trello now has advanced sharing features for adding pictures to lists right form the Photos app, and even makes a home on the 'Today' bar. With their new widget for iOS, Trello lets you create a card right from the pull-down shade — even with a pic.
Trello is available for iOS and Android, as well as the web. If you're looking for a robust app that lets you plan projects or events large and small, Trello is a pretty good option. Keep in mind there is an in-app purchase option, but you can probably do without it.
