Tivo Third Tuner Live

We have official word via the Tivo Community Forum that Tivo has activated Third Tuner. The update was included with a software upgrade and "various small fixes", according to Alex Green, Exective Director, Commercial, TV & Online at Tivo. Read on to find out more about the update.

Third Tuner allows the user to:

  • Record two programs and watch live TV on another channel
  • Record three live programs, or
  • Record three live programs while also watching something you've pre-recorded

    • The boxes were automatically upgraded, so there is no need to download anything.
