Super Smash Bros. Mewtwo code emails are rolling out

Today brings good news for those who have both the 3DS and the Wii U versions of Super Smash Bros. — the email containing the Mewtwo character DLC codes are rolling out now. This is notable for two reasons: if you don't qualify, you'll have to pay for the character; and, secondly, you'll have to wait until April 28 to get your digital hands on it. Reports of the codes being received by some qualified gamers started popping up this morning, first for those located in Japan, but with those in North America and Europe seeing them soon after.

This is the first fighter DLC for Super Smash Bros., and it brings those who have both versions Mewtwo for free. Both of those versions must be registered, however, or else you won't be seeing the email.

If you are such an owner and you have registered them both, check out your email (don't forget about the junk box!) to see if you've gotten the email yet. If so, you can use the codes to unlock the character now.

Missed out on the offer while it was still in play? You'll still be able to get the characters, it'll just cost you a little bit of time and money. Starting April 28, you can purchase Mewtwo for the game, with it being set at $3.99/platform, or $4.99 to get both the 3DS and the Wii U versions at once.
