Super Famicom prototype discovered

There was a time in the 90's where Nintendo and Sony had agreed to a partnership that would eventually lead to a Super Famicom, or Play Station. That as we know, never actually came to pass.

It has been rumored that some prototype units were created before the partnership fell apart, and someone appears to have gotten their hands on one. It is interesting to see the resemblances to both the Super Nintendo and the Playstation.

The Giant eject button and small reset button look about the same as the Playstation, though the controller ports resemble a Super Nintendo. On the back we see an A/V port that looks identical to the one found on an Super Nintendo. What is curious is the absence of the Nintendo name anywhere on the device. There's no way to tell if this is the real deal, but that would be pretty cool if it was.
