Street Fighter V trailer shows off tomorrow's story mode release

Tomorrow will bring the cinematic story mode update for Street Fighter V, and ahead of that release comes a trailer straight from Capcom showing off what you can expect. This is a major update, one that has been known for months and that brings the "A Shadow Falls" story mode. Capcom promises gamers will get a "ton of new content" with the update, and there will be two new characters joining the mix: Balrog and Ibuki.

Anyone who owns Street Fighter V will be able to download the A Shadow Falls story mode update for free, while the characters will be available to buy using either real money or the in-game Fight Money, whichever you prefer. To get the story mode, you'll have to download it from the PS Store or Steam Store, whichever is applicable. After that, you'll have to patch the game with update 1.04, then you can update with story model.

In the story mode gamers will find five acts that take place between the happenings of Street Fighter III and Street Fighter IV; the World Warriors and evil Shadaloo will battle, and players will fight using all 16 main characters. There will be another half dozen DLC characters, as well, notably Ibuki and Balrog.

Newly added and available with Fight/Real Money will be the Kanzuki Family Private Beach stage and Balrog's Las Vegas stage. There will be new premium battle costumes, improvements to matchmaking, and an upgrade to the in-game store. Finally, Capcom says that gamers should expect server maintenance on June 30th starting at 14:00PT, after which point they can get the update on July 1st at midnight PT.
