Sony Announces Cybershot DSC-H10

The new 8.1mp Sony Cybershot DSC-H10 is relatively similar to DSC-H3 announced less than 6 months ago, with the exception that it uses 3-inch instead of 2.5-inch LCD display. The 1/2.5" Super HAD is twice better in sensor sensitivity and has 6db better smear rejection ratio than a typical CCD. It's being used in Sony's Alpha line of DSLR cameras. The rest of the spec doesn't look like a major improvement over predecessor H3. It's still having the same Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens with 10x optical external zoom range of 38-380mm (35mm equiv.)

Other features include face detection, advanced sport shooting modes, movie mode up to 640x480 in 30fps and ISO of up to 3200 with optional telephoto conversion lenses. Sony says the H10 will be ready to ship around May with MSRP of $300.
