Sony 3D Experience gives Bravia owners new free 3D content streaming channel

Sony is a giant in the electronics industry and has a full range of products from TVs to cameras and everything in between. Sony is one of the larger providers of 3D TVs as well with its line of Bravia sets that can show 3D content. Many of those Bravia sets also support content streaming from the web. Sony has announced a new 3D Experience to bring owners of its 3D sets more content.

The new 3D Experience service is free of charge and streams content directly to the Bravia TV via the web. The service will air a range of promotional video clips and trials of content in 3D like highlights from Wimbledon 2011. The service is available right now on 3D capable Bravia LCD TVs without any registration requirements.

Sony notes it will be rolling the service out to other products it sells soon such as its Blu-ray players and Blu-ray home theater systems. Initially the content service is launching in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, and France. All 2011 TV models that are 3D capable and have Bravia Internet Video capability will work assuming the user has a connection speed of at least 10Mbps.
