Samsung SCH-W340 Coming To The US?
FCC approved the Samsung SCH-W340 back in October but due to a request for confidentiality restrictions, any and all info was kept from public viewing – until now. At the time when I thumbed through the SGH-i450, I had no idea that its little brother was being pimped out for FCC approval.
There's very little information on the SCH-W340, but according to the images, the two devices are spitting image of one another. I was pretty impressed with the SGH-i450 so that being said; hopefully the W340 will sport Symbian OS, S60 UI along with other smart features such as the "Half Touch scroll wheel, HSDPA for high-speed internet access, Bluetooth 2.0 and A2DP stereo support along with 350MB of internal memory and FM radio.

Going on looks alone, the two handsets offer the same scroll wheel, dual-slider, front mount VGA camera for video calls, and 2-megapixel. The SCH-W340 exhibits a shiny-metal-like material unlike the i450 that I saw in Korea during my HQ Touch.
For now, we can expect available of the SCH-W340 for the Korean market, and as far as available stateside, it's still questionable. However, FCC documentation shows that this phone is certified in the US for the GSM1900 band and Bluetooth.
