Ring Video Doorbell gets new holiday faceplates and sounds

Amazon has launched some fun holiday-themed faceplates for its Ring Video Doorbell, the company has announced. There are multiple faceplates too choose from; they can be paired with related holiday sounds designed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Hanukkah, including various versions of Jingle Bells, classic Christmas songs, and more.

The Ring Video Doorbell is Amazon's home doorbell product that conceals a security camera within the doorbell itself. The product works by detecting motion, which triggers it to start recording. Users can use their phone to talk through a speaker built into the doorbell, though exact features depend on the model.

Users who want to keep things updated for the holidays can purchase one of the new holiday-themed faceplates and use them to add a bit of festivity to their home's exterior. Options include snowflakes, strings of lights, and festive imagery like candy canes and snowflakes.

In addition, Ring Video Doorbell owners can now utilize one of several new sound options, including Jingle Bells, Sleigh Bells, Oh Hanukkah, Elves, Deck the Halls, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Hark, the Herald Angels Sing, and some other more general things like "Thanksgiving Turkey."

Users can download the holiday-themed Chime tones by opening the Ring app, downloading, and saving the file, according to Amazon. The tones are listed under the Audio Settings of the Ring device the user wants to connect the audio to. Ring offers a full list of instructions on this process via its website here.

The new faceplates will be available to purchase starting on December 1.
