When it comes to personal safety, there are a number of products out there to help anyone stay safe. Some of those products involve fighting back, and others are there to send out a call for help. If you are being attacked, it can be difficult or impossible to pull out a mobile phone and call for help. A product called Revolar aims to make it easy to tell anyone on your contact list that you need help and give them your precise location.
Revolar is able to send out a help request with your exact GPS location at the press of a button. To activate the device, all you need to do is press a button on the small square enclosure. The preset contact list is entered directly into the Revolar App that runs on your smart device.
Revolar is water resistant and has a battery good for months that can be replaced. It’s small enough to be hidden easily on your person, but is designed to be easy to reach when needed. The covers are removable with white, black, and blue cases available.
The activation button on the device is recessed so it can’t be activated accidentally. Dimensions of the Revolar device are 1″ x 1″ x 1/8″. The product is on Kickstarter seeking $75,000 and with 11 days to go it has raised over $67,000. A pledge of $75 or more will get you a Revolar with shipping estimated for April 2016.
