Rainbow Six Siege goes free this upcoming weekend

If you've been putting off playing Rainbow Six Siege, this upcoming weekend will be your chance to reverse that trend without spending anything. Ubisoft has announced a free weekend this upcoming February 2 through 5, giving everyone a chance to experience the title, including all of its modes, maps, and operators. Those who really like what they experience will also get the chance to grab the game at a steep discount.

This weekend's free version of Rainbow Six Siege will be the same as the full version in all the practical ways — maps, modes, etc — giving players a way to experience the game's counterterrorism matches. The free play weekend will be available to PC (Steam and Uplay) gamers, as well as those on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Those on PC and PlayStation 4 will be able to start their free play starting at 1PM EST on February 2, while those on Xbox One will be able to start at 3:01AM EST on February 2. If you're using Microsoft's current-gen console, you'll also need an Xbox Live Gold membership, while PS4 gamers need a PlayStation Plus membership.

The free play weekend will end on February 5 at 4PM EST for PC gamers, while it'll end at 1PM EST on February 6 for PlayStation 4 gamers and 2:59AM EST on February 6 for Xbox One. The game can be downloaded from the Xbox Store, the PlayStation Network, and from the Uplay Shop. Those who play will get the chance to buy the game at fifty-percent off following the end of the weekend.
