Novatel 4G LTE and WiMAX MiFi Hotspots Win At CTIA 2011

Novatel Wireless has won the 2011 CTIA Emerging Technology Awards under the Mobile Consumer Electronics Accessories category for its 4G MiFi Intelligent Hotspots, the LTE MiFi 4510 and the WiMAX MiFi 4082. The MiFi devices create a mobile hotspot that allows up to five different devices to connect and are about the size of a credit card.

The newest MiFi Intelligent Hotspots support 4G networks like WiMAX and LTE and take your typical hotspot to the next level. Each device comes with an external e-link display that shows battery level, signal strength, and how many devices are connected. They also come with a MicroSD slot, GPS functionality, and depending on the carrier it might come preloaded with MiFi OS widgets and application support.
