Nintendo Switch and 3DS are getting these big eShop games

It's Thursday, so that means it's time for the next batch of Switch and 3DS games on the Nintendo eShop. Last week saw a bunch of games launch for the Switch, with the indie darling Darkest Dungeon soaking up much of the attention for itself. This week, however, is arguably just as big, and that's true for both Switch and 3DS owners. As is usually the case, we're seeing many more games launch for Switch this week than 3DS. The biggest of those Switch launches is unquestionably Celeste, a new platformer from the makers of TowerFall and Skytorn. There's a lot of excitement behind Celeste's release, and it should be noted that the game is also coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC today.

There isn't much on 3DS this week, but what's arriving is big indeed. Tomorrow, we'll see Pokemon Crystal launch at 9 AM Pacific, giving longtime Pokemon fans the chance to relive this classic Game Boy Color game. An enhanced edition of Pokemon Gold and Silver (which have been available on the eShop since last year), Pokemon Crystal is notable for both being the first game in the series to be incompatible with the original Game Boy as well as the first to let you pick your gender at the start of the game.

In any case, if Celeste's challenging platforming isn't quite your cup of tea, then good news: there are 13 other games landing on Switch this week. Here's the full list of games being added to the Nintendo eShop this week, both for Switch and 3DS:
