Nintendo E3 press conference gets confirmed

After Sony and Microsoft have already confirmed their spot on the E3 press conference calendar, Nintendo has finally begun sending out invitations for its large-scale media event. Just like last year, the company will give its remarks at 12:00 noon Eastern Time on June 5, literally right before the E3 show floor doors open. It will be the final one of the major three pre-E3 events.

Microsoft will kick things off on the morning of June 4, and Sony will offer its presentation later that day. This is the first time in years that all three companies have effectively the exact same schedule as the previous year, with events held in the same locations. It will literally be a mirror of the E3 2011 press conferences, but with different announcements and surprises of course.

As for what to expect from Nintendo, the company will no doubt show off a lot more of the features of its upcoming console the Wii U. It's also possible Nintendo will unveil a new name for the device. We're also hoping to see some major game announcements for the 3DS, as well as what to expect from the Wii moving forward. Nintendo's show will happen at the Nokia Theatre and SlashGear will provide live on-scene coverage.
