Lexus unveils 2019 GS F and RC F 10th anniversary editions

Lexus has a pair of new special edition models that will be on display at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. The cars are the 2019 Lexus GS F and 2019 RC F 10th anniversary editions. Both cars will hit showrooms this summer and have specific features that make them stand out, both are limited edition cars.

The exterior of both special edition model is covered in Nebula Gray paint marking the first use of a matte paint finish on a production Lexus since the LFA supercar. Lexus says that it took special care to be sure the paint would survive daily use. Both cars get standard polished 19-inch wheels.

The wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires and both cars have blue brake calipers. Inside the cars both have unique interiors with lots of blue leather. Lexus says the interiors are meant to make the cars seem like custom-made exotics.

Each car will get a dash plaque that shows its build number. There will be 240 10th anniversary RC F cars made and only 100 10th anniversary GS F cars built. The RC F gets sport seats in the front with blue leather and white accents with a blue shift knob steering wheel, and instrument panel hood. The headliner is embossed in the car.

The GS F sedan gets seats that look like those in the RC with blue leather side bolsters. Blue carbon trim is also used on the console along with blue suede on the dash trim and the seatbelts are blue. The RC F coupe and GS F sedan both get a 467hp 5.0L V8 under the hood. Lexus says that the anniversary editions will require certain options to be added and pricing is unannounced.
