Lenovo Flex 3 brings budget-friendly Yoga-cool to CES 2015

When Lenovo's new Yoga Pro 3 laptop came out, much of the attention went to the new hinge. Mimicking a watch band, the hinge took Lenovo's bendy laptops to a new dimension. The hinge on the Yoga Pro 2 did much of the same work, and has been re-purposed for the new Flex 3 entry-level laptops from Lenovo. For those not looking to drop a lot of cash on a new laptop, but still want the flip-around cool that is the Yoga, the Flex 3 lineup might be just what you've been waiting for.

Just like the Yoga lineup, the Flex 3 will let users flip the screen all the way around, with stops in between for Tent or Stand mode.

The Flex 3 lineup comes with Windows 8.1 out of the box, an optional Intel Core i7 processor for the two larger-screen models (14 and 15-inch), and Pentium in the 11-inch Flex 3.

You can also get up to 1 TB storage.

The 11, 14, and 15-inch models all have a standard 1366 x 768 display, and Lenovo says the 14 and 15-inch models have an optional FHD screen. All have stereo speakers and Dolby Home Theater sound.

The Flex 3 lineup come out in May, with the Flex 3 11-inch model setting you back $399. The Flex 3 14-inch will start at $549, while the Flex 3 15-inch version begins at $579.
