iUsers Lets Jailbroken iPads Have Multiple User Accounts

There are a lot of things that many iPad users wish their iPad could do that Apple doesn't allow. Some of the things are very basic like user accounts. My kids like to use my iPad more than I do and each time I give it to my son for instance, he ends up asking to play some game on it that isn't appropriate for his age like Grand Theft Auto. I have wished more than once that I could set up an account for him on the tablet and only put apps he can play on the account.

Apple doesn't offer multiple accounts by default on the iPad, but if you jailbreak your iPad there is a new app on the Cydia store that will let you have all the user accounts you want. The app is called iUsers and was developed by Pedro Franceschi. Once the app is installed you can go to settings, tap iUsers and it will allow you to log into a different account and blocks things in the other accounts from the user of the iPad.

The different accounts are secured with a username and password. As I said before you have to be jailbroken first and then you can hit the Cydia store to get the app. I can certainly see the benefit of this and I wish this were something you could do to iPads that weren't jailbroken too.
