iTunes 8.0 Leaked On Accident

Just one day before the Let's Rock event (and our live event coverage) and Apple has gone and slipped up. It seems one savvy person went to upgrade to iTunes 7 on a Windows XP Pro-running computer and discovered that the download button was shifted on the iTunes website.

However, this was not just a formatting error. Rather, the URL led to a download of iTunes 8.0! And sure enough, this update is, according to the downloader, "a HUGE upgrade."

The downloaded version was apparently an 8.0 Release Candidate, but this is still a rather big mistake. We will be seeing the real version tomorrow but someone over at Apple made a link live just a little too early. If you travel to the via link, you should find a tasty download sure to satisfy you until tomorrow' official release.
