iOS 5.1.x untethered jailbreak "in a few weeks"

If you have a burning desire to learn more about the new 5.1.x iOS untethered jailbreak, a new FAQ has been published that you'll find interesting. The FAQ was put together on the pod2g blog. The website ran a poll to determine if users wanted the jailbreak to be held and until iOS 6.0 before launch and 64% of people wanted it right away.

The jailbreak writer says that there's still a lot to do including more testing so release is expected in a few weeks. The untethered jailbreak will be compatible with any device running iOS 5.1.1 except ATV3. That last caveat is for now, but might change later. As with any jailbreak or software that geeks are keen to get their hands on, the people behind the untethered jailbreak are undoubtedly receiving hoards of e-mail asking why it's taking so long to publish.

The reason is there are 16 different devices out there test so it takes time. Another frequently asked question is about beta testing, the answer is no you can't be a beta tester. Be on the lookout in a few weeks to see if this new untethered jailbreak happens.
