Halo 4 Limited Edition detailed

Wondering what you'll be able to pick up when Halo 4 is released on November 6th? Wonder no more. The official Halo website has detailed the Limited Edition of the game, available for pre-order starting from today. It might set you back a cool $99.99, but hopefully the features will be enough to entice you. The Limited Edition will offer multiplayer map packs, specializations, and bonus digital content.

Players purchasing the Limited Edition will receive access to nine multiplayer map packs that will become available at a later date through Xbox Live. Everyone who buys the game will get access to specializations, but those buying the Limited Edition will be able to unlock six before anyone else, enabling players to get a leg up on the competition.

If you're a fan of the universe and technology behind Halo 4, a UNSC Infinity Briefing Packet will be included in the box which gives you info about the armor and weapons in the universe, and a look at the Infinity ship. Also included is a 90-minute special edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the live action web series. Additional content will help to expand the characters in the series.

Finally, players will get exclusive digital content through Xbox Live, including armor skins, a weapon skin for the Assault Rifle, an in-game emblem, and Xbox Live avatar props. Anyone worried that they won't be able to afford a Legendary Edition need not worry: there's only going to be the regular retail version and the Limited Edition this time around. Halo 4 is out on November 6th, so go ahead and pre-order right now.
