Fight Club 2 -- first 6 pages of graphic novel now available

If, like Tyler Durden (or Narrator), you're no fan of rules, please continue reading. We're about to snap the first two rules of Fight Club clean in half. Rather than follow Fight Club up with more words on paper, Chuck Palahniuk is keeping with the medium that made the book such a runaway hit. There's no second movie, but we are getting our hands on visuals via a graphic novel that picks up where Fight Club left off. Fight Club 2 finds Durden, Marla, and their son in suburban hell.

In the graphic novel, we find that our favorite Narrator is actually named Sebastian. Via a mix of prescription meds and medical marijuana, Sebastian seems to have left Durden and the Fight Club well behind him.

Or so he thinks. Picking up flowers for Marla (who he married and had a child with; possibly a bad choice), a banged-up cashier refused to charge him, and refered to him as 'sir'. His son is well versed in how to make nitroglycerin from fat, too.

Who would have taught him that? Sebastian seems so meek and gentle in his medicated state.

Marla, as you'll see, is lashing out in an attempt to grasp suburbia. She's back at sickle-cell group therapy meetings she has no business being at.

The story picks up where the movie and original book left off in a neat way, really. Though Sebastian is pretty benign, now, the book is called Fight Club 2. And his son is doing some very Durden-esque things. We don't see much violence, but we're sure it'll be there.

The book is due for release on March 27.
