Control 8 Characters With This Smash Bros. Glitch

Smash Bros. is a game that takes a lot of time to master. If you've ever watched a large tournament, you'll quickly realize just how far behind the curve you are, in terms of skill. But perhaps you're one of those people that can best all of their friends, and needs a new challenge. Well get ready, because we've got the biggest challenge of them all.

If you think memorizing all of the special moves for one character is difficult, just imagine if you were able to control 8 different characters at the same time. That's right, it's possible on the Wii U version of the game. It's possible through a glitch that can happen when your controller desyncs. Check out the full instructions below:

1. Have 8 amiibo.

2. Use a controller that can "desync" (a GameCube controller preferably).

3. Go to the 8-Player Smash mode.

4. Just move your joystick until the "Player #" or port space pops up.

5. Click the name part of your port until it says "None".

6. Remove your controller from the port or desync it.

7. Scan your amiibo.

8. Plug your shit back in.

9. Move your joystick again and now you will be the Player in the next available space after your scanned amiibo. Nothing out of the ordinary, but trust me, it's working.

10. Repeat Steps 5-9 until all the Player spaces are filled with the 8 amiibo.

11. Go to the Settings (where Time or Stock and Item rules are). Then simply exit.

12. Enjoy controlling 8 characters simultaneously!

The biggest downside to this is that you will need 8 amiibo to make this happen. But if you do, there are plenty of crazy things that you can do with 8 characters. The reddit user that discovered it says that one of his favorite things was to "be Luigi (with all of them on top of each other) and fly everywhere around the stage using Up-B."

Now while you might think that you'd get bored by yourself, you can actually do this with multiple people. Imagine a crazy 4v4 match where two people each have four characters. Or see if you're good enough to take down four of your friends, with your squad of four.
