Asus outs ROG Swift PG258Q gaming monitor, Designo Curve and ProArt 5K UHD monitor

Asus has unveiled a slew of new products at Computex 2016 and among them are some new monitors including the ROG Swift PG258Q gaming monitor that is aimed directly at the gamers out there. The display has a 24.5-inch viewable image size and sports 1920 x 1080 resolution. The native refresh rate is very fast at 240 Hz.

Asus also gives the screen a fast response time of 1ms GTG and NVIDIA G-Sync technology. All of those features are intended to eliminate lag and frame rate stutter to bring the smoothest and fastest graphics possible to gamers. The monitor is also designed with narrow bezels specifically for multiple monitor setups.

Asus also unveiled the Designo Curve MX34VQ 34-inch curved monitor with frameless 1800R curvature and native resolution of 3440 x 1440. It has ultra-wide QHD panel and 21:9 aspect ratio. The monitor also has integrated 8-watt stereo speakers with Harman Kardon hardware. Asus also fits the display with a Qi wireless charger on its base for keeping compatible smartphones and other devices powered up. The Designo MX27C is a 4K UHD monitor with USB Type-C connectivity and 100% sRGB coverage.

The ProArt 5K UHD monitor has 5120 x 2880 resolution and uses DisplayPort connectivity. Clearly designed for graphics pros, it has a wide color gamut with 100% Rec. 709, 99.5% Adobe RGB and 95% DCI-P3 color-space support. A ProArt PA27AQ monitor is also offered with 2560 x 1440 resolution. Both Proart monitors have color calibration tech built-in. Asus has also unveiled the 15.6-inch ZenView portable monitor that has its own folding smart case. That case pops up to become a monitor stand. Asus is mum on pricing and availability for all of its new monitors at this time.
