Apple iPhone 6 screen hardware highlighted in video
All those pics we keep seeing of the iPhone 6 are nice, but static images are easy to fake. Though we're widely convinced a larger phone is on the horizon, pics just don't do it for everyone. A new video showing a familiar piece of hardware might end up convincing the doubters.
In the video below, we see the iPhone screen hardware stacked up next to an iPhone 5S. We even see them measure it, giving us a confirmed 4.7-inch screen size. The rounded corners we saw previously are there, as are the multiple cutouts up top.
Through these kinds of leaks, we start to get a better idea of just what could make the next iPhone special. The overall iPad-ish look may be a strange departure, but it's one we like. The rounded edges on the screen glass are also different, but again — welcome change.
While the 4.7-inch version seems a foregone conclusion, the alleged 5.5-inch screen variant is still shrouded in mystery. We've seen various leaks of the 4.7-inch screen and device, but very little that is convincing about the 5.5-inch model.
Though convincing, it's still worth admiring with a bit of levity. We may want to believe this is as it seems, but we know nothing until the Apple overlords tell us it's all true. Until then, here's the best look at the alleged new screen hardware we've seen yet.
