Acer Aspire Z3-600 AIO touch PC has an internal battery

Acer has trotted out a new all in one computer that is designed to sit on the desktop or counter and be carried with you on the go. That is a strange combination making the AIO computer something like a large tablet. Acer isn't the first to do this, other computer makers like HP, Lenovo and Sony have done the same thing.

Acer's Z3-600 has a 21.5-inch display making it a bit larger than the machines offered by those other companies. The machine has a folding hinge on the display that allows it to be held upright for use like a normal AIO, or laid flat. When laid flat the AIO is easier use when you are hovering above a coffee table or other surface while sitting down.

The machine has full HD resolution on the 21.5-inch screen. It also has a HDMI input and Harman Kardon speakers. The HDMI port means that you can carry the machine around the home or office and use it to display content from other devices like game consoles or Blu-ray players.

The battery inside the AIO is only good for 2.5 hours of use. That's nothing in the laptop realm, but for a device that isn't really meant to be used too far from an outlet it is a bit more acceptable. The Z3-600 uses an Intel Pentium processor, 4GB of RAM, and has a 750GB HDD. It will launch later this month for $779.
