Sony teases S1 and S2 Android Honeycomb tablets [Video]

Sony has released the first video in a new teaser campaign for the S1 and S2 Android Honeycomb tablets, with a Rube Goldberg-style machine theme that tells us little about the touchscreen pair. In fact, Sony seems more interested in creating city-scape shadows than it is in demonstrating its attempt to rival Apple's iPad 2.

Still, this is the first in what we're guessing will be a pretty numerous series of videos ahead of the two tablets' commercial release in roughly September this year. Both use NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor, with the S1 having a 10.1-inch touchscreen while the S2 uses a clamshell design and a pair of 5.8-inch touchscreens.

What, exactly, Sony plans to use that double-panel tablet for is still unclear, though the company has mentioned gaming before now. Earlier this month it crossed the FCC complete with AT&T HSPA+ support, shortly followed by its S1 sibling.
