According to Brazilian site odontopalm.com, the Dell ‘E’ (aka the Mini Inspiron) netbook will be officially be called the Inspiron 910 and launch in the country on August 22nd.  Aside from the 1.6GHz Atom CPU, buyers will have a choice of 512MB or 1GB of RAM, 4/8/16GB of flash storage and either WiFi b/g or Draft-N.  Bluetooth and 3G will be options, as will 0.3 or 1.3-megapixel webcams.

OS will be a choice between Windows XP or Ubuntu.  Also confirmed is the omission of the function key row, as well as there being no modem.  Ports include 3 USB, 1 VGA, a multifunction card reader and ethernet.

The site suggests that the Brazilian price – which is apparently heavily inflated with local taxes – will be around $740.  However commenters have suggested this would tally with a roughly $300 US price.

Update: More detailed specs here, and better live photos of the Dell Inspiron 910 here!

    Man, theyre wearing me out.
Ok, lets wait another week to see if there is news, if not, then its the Acer One for $349 at Staples. The kids loved playing with it at the store and the Linpus Linux is very user friendly,

Make it white, make 3G standard (instead of many optional features), sell it for $299 and it will be a hit like the iPhone…
