This iPhone 7 leak will only enrage camera-bump haters

As we get closer to the expected reveal of the iPhone 7, the leaks showing us what could be on the way seem to be getting more and more frequent. Like one of the more recent leaks, this newest one is again showing off the backside of a supposed iPhone 7, so it's not giving us anything we haven't seen before. Rather, it's reinforcing the notion that the iPhone 7 could look a lot like its predecessors, camera-bump and all.

With the previous image, it seemed we were looking at a complete iPhone, while this one is just the rear housing of the device. In this new photo, we once again see the rather large opening for the camera, along with the missing antenna lines from the back of the phone. This iPhone 7 doesn't seem to have any branding outside of a cutout for the famous Apple logo, which could mean it was a piece of housing taken off the production line before being stamped. It could also mean it's a fake, so keep that in mind.

Obviously, the aspect of this leak that will probably get the most attention is the cutout for the camera lens. It's significantly larger than that of the iPhone 6 and 6s, while the rest of the rear housing looks very similar. This could mean that the improvements to the camera could be at the top of the feature list for the iPhone 7, and that would make sense given Apple's push to make the iPhone 6s your main shooter through an improved camera and features like live photos. One thing is certain, though: if you hated the camera-bump on the iPhone 6 and 6s, you probably aren't going to like the iPhone 7 should this actually prove to be its backside.

The iPhone 7 should be getting a reveal in just a couple of months, with most of the world expecting to Apple to announce its newest flagship sometime around the beginning of September. From there, it should only be a couple of weeks before the phone is launched. It's during that reveal that we'll see if any of these leaks hold water – and if the camera-bump will remain a reality – so stay tuned.
