Windows RT Office 2013 suite tipped by early Outlook install

Windows RT Office 2013 suite tipped by early Outlook install

While Microsoft continues to push two different sects with their Windows 8 / Windows RT split, users deciding on the latter have made a case for needing one app particularly: Outlook. The 2013 version of Outlook has been confirmed earlier this week to be coming to Windows RT soon, but until then, the waiting will include early previews and sneak-shots galore. While surprises may be in store for users once the app is made real for the public, at the moment it seems that there's a severe lack of excitement going on for those users pre-testing the software - save a full Office suite, that is.

HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Notebook Review

HP Spectre XT TouchSmart Notebook Review

We have recently spent some time working (and playing) with the HP Spectre XT TouchSmart notebook computer. Specifically, we have been using the 15-4010nr Ultrabook model. This is a Windows 8 machine and it happens to be sporting a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display and as implied by the TouchSmart in the name -- this one is a touchscreen notebook. The notebook looks good, feels solid and has specs to match. Of course, on the flip side of that, the HP Spectre XT TouchSmart isn't the lowest priced notebook on the market. The pricing starts at $1,399.99 and while we cannot say whether this notebook will be needed by all, we can share some opinions that will help you answer that question for yourself. With that, read on for our full HP Spectre XT TouchSmart 15-4010nr Ultrabook review.

Nokia Lumia 928 Review

Nokia Lumia 928 Review

Now that Verizon has its own Nokia hero smartphone working with Windows Phone 8, it's high time the platform takes off, isn't it? At the moment, the Nokia Lumia 928 is one of the nicer Windows Phone 8 devices on the market, and if it weren't for the release of the Nokia Lumia 925 (having been revealed this month right on top of the 928), it'd be an easy thing to say that this is Nokia's finest effort to date with this OS. As it stands, this device is ready instead to be the heartiest Windows Phone 8 smartphone in the USA.

Microsoft hits 100 million Windows 8 licenses sold milestone, says to expect Blue

Microsoft has published its latest interview with Tami Reller, this one coming at about the 6-month point from Windows 8's launch. Like the last interview, this one covers Windows 8 and what's going on with it, and while the entire conversation is a good read, there are two glaring facts that stand out: Microsoft has hit the 100 million Windows 8 licenses sold milestone, and likewise has confirmed that Windows Blue will be arriving this year.
