Olympus Capture tethering app arrives for OM-D E-M1 users

Olympus has announced that its Capture Studio software is now available for any and all OM-D E-M1 users to enjoy. This joins the E-M1 firmware version 2.0 that was recently dropped early, originally intended to arrive this week on September 24.

The new firmware and software work together to offer photographers a wide array of tools tailored towards those working in studios. The Capture tethering app, as it's called, is available for both Windows 7/8/8.1 and Mac OS X 10.7 through 10.9.

The tethering app won't cost OM-D E-M1 users anything, instead leaving them to reap the rewards of such software, remote control of the camera being chief among them. This is ideal for studio photographers of both people and objects. The camera is connected to a computer using USB.

We recently detailed both the tethering app software and the new firmware, with all the details you need to know. If you need us to back up one step farther, we've also got all the details on the Olympus OM-D E-M1 camera from last year.
