LG G Pad 8.3 launch tipped for October 14 in Korea

LG has steadily been tossing new Android-powered smartphones and tablets on the market. Back in September at IFA 2013, we got to spend a little hands-on time with the LG G Pad 8.3 tablet. That means we knew all the specifications and features of the tablet save a couple very important details.LG didn't announce pricing or a launch date for the G Pad 8.3 during IFA 2013. Those two details have now been announced by LG giving us the complete picture for the new tablet. The official launch date in Korea is set for October 14.

The global launch of the device is expected to follow by the end of the year. That means the exact launch date for the US is still a mystery. LG says the tablet will be available in white or black colors for 550,000 won, which works out to about $510 here in the US.

We already knew what hardware the tablet was running, but in case you're not familiar the device has an 8.3-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200. The tablet runs a 1.7 GHz quad-core QUALCOMM Snapdragon 600 chipset. The tablet also uses a 4600 mAh battery pack promising 7-8 hours of use with have video playback.
