Apple would hate for you to forget their roll-out plans for the iPhone 4, and so they’re just sent out a quick reminder that as of this coming Friday, July 30th, the fourth-generation smartphone will go on sale in seventeen more countries. Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland will join the existing five countries where the iPhone 4 is on sale (France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US), though of course it will only be available in black for the time being.
No word on pricing for any of those new countries, with Apple only mentioning the US pricing: $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB, assuming you’re willing to sign up to a carrier agreement. We’ll have to wait until Friday to see whether Apple will be selling unlocked devices in the new territories, as they do in the UK, or solely via carrier partners.
It’s not just the iPhone 4 you get, though; Apple has also rolled out its free iPhone 4 case program in response to criticism regarding the smartphone’s antenna performance. Check out our free case roundup for details of all the options, before heading over to our full iPhone 4 review for all the details on the handset itself.
