Cole Haan ZERØGRAND Commuter Jacket and Sport Oxford shoes

My travel takes me to many different cities with diverse weather conditions so packing light, with plenty of layering options, and having a jacket that'll work for whatever Mother Nature throws my way are my top priorities. I've had some success finding clothes that tick most of the boxes up to now, but for one reason or another, I inevitably stumble across something I don't like.

Cole Haan recently partnered up with Mountain Hardwear to offer a whole new product line, the ZeroGrand Lifestyle Outwear collection. Be sure to check out SlashGear's coverage for the full details of the range.

For my review, I selected the ZeroGrand Commuter Jacket because of the following key factors:

1) It packs down small

2) It's durable and rugged, yet it still looks great, for peace of mind that it's not going to easily tear

3) It's 100% waterproof, and has what Mountain Hardware says is the warmest synthetic insulation available

4) It fits over a sport coat or suit jacket

As for shoes, ZeroGrand offers one of the lightest shoes for all sorts of events from casual to dressy, all with a toothy outsole that's cushioned with Grand.OS technology. For this review, I picked the ZeroGrand Sport Oxford because it's sporty looking and lightweight, thanks to a combination of leather and mesh.

I shouldn't look too out of place if I'm in polite company, but then neither will it look like I turned up in dress shoes. If by some off-chance I get inspired or have a moment to hit the gym, I'm sure these'll work just fine.
