Galaxy Note 4 release: fingerprints a go-go

There's a new Galaxy Note 4 coming your way soon, made by Samsung to replace the previous release and one-up the Galaxy S5 while it does so. The display may be sharper, the battery will certainly be larger, and as of this week, we're to understand that the Galaxy S5 fingerprint technology may very well be better.

What say you to a Galaxy Note 4 that's better than the Galaxy S5? Such a move is unprecedented. How dare Samsung release a device that out-does its hero Galaxy S lineup? They very well could dare, and they may dare on September 3rd, 2014.

That's the day we may see a tip from sources speaking with SamMobile take shape. It's tipped that the Galaxy Note 4 will work with Synaptics Natural ID solution. This is similar to the Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, including FIDO compliance and two-part authentication.

Starting at the touchscreen and doubling up at the home button, this solution requires both sensor parts to register a good ID. This technology will be utilized in three parts:

• Fingerprint unlock

• Multi-finger app shortcuts

• Web sign-in

"Sign in using fingerprints" is an option that'll be present with the Galaxy Note 4 right off the bat. You'll be able to unlock your phone with your pinky to get to your camera and your pointer finger to get to Facebook, if you like. You'll also be able to do the basic unlock.

Sound familiar? It's not brand new, but it's certainly set to be better implemented than any Android device before. We shall see! Have a peek at our recent Samsung Galaxy S4 Details Rundown to see what else this device has to offer.
