BlackBerry Priv lands at AT&T November 6, $250 with contract

While the brand new, Android-powered BlackBerry Priv is already available for pre-order from BlackBerry's own online store, AT&T has announced that it will launch the smartphone on November 6th, making it the first US carrier to offer it. While buying an unlocked Priv directly from BlackBerry comes at a hefty price of $699, it will be only $250 from AT&T, as long as users sign up for a new two-year contract.

Then again, buying a Priv at that $250 price might be easier said than done, as earlier this year AT&T began making contracts harder to get for customers, only offering them at their own stores, and instead moving users towards their Next monthly installment plans.

AT&T customers that prefer the Next plan can still pick up the BlackBerry Priv, with pricing starting at $24.67/month for 24 months, $30.84/month for 18 months, and $37/month for 12 months. On the other hand, those who prefer to avoid AT&T as their carrier only have one other option, as T-Mobile is the only other carrier the Priv is compatible with in the US.

Those who choose to pre-order the Priv directly from BlackBerry should also see their expensive new sliding QWERTY keyboard phone ship on November 6th.
