Apple's March 9 event -- more than just a watch?

Now that we've got our invites for the Apple event on March 9 — which is almost assuredly for the Apple Watch — what else might we find at that time? Though it's entirely possible Apple will do nothing more than discuss the Apple Watch (and all the behind-the-scenes changes they've made to go along with it), the company always seem to have 'one more thing' up their sleeve. So what could that be? Anyone's guess is good enough, but we're wondering when that MacBook Air refresh might pop up.

The MacBook Air is rumored to get slimmer, more powerful, and downright better. Aside from some spec tweaks, Apple hasn't made a lot of alterations to their slim laptop computer.

Not that they need to — the MacBook Air still really good — but it's gone relatively untouched.

The Apple Watch event will likely come with a full display of the company's work in the wearable space, and we should expect some on-stage performances on what the Apple Watch can do. Plenty of third-party Developers will likely come on stage to show off what they've been working, which likely had some oversight from Apple along the way.

We'll also hear about pricing — finally. Though we know the low-end hardware will set us back $350, that's all we get from Apple about Apple Watch pricing. So we'll finally know if the Apple Watch (non-Sport) will run $499 as expected, and if the Apple Watch Edition will hit that $10,000-plus price many are speculating on.

But that's not a lot of time (pun intended) on-stage. The event is scheduled to last two hours, so is there something else involved? With all due respect to Apple, do we even want to hear about the Apple Watch for 120 minutes straight?

'Spring Forward' is definitely about time, but is it time to unleash the new MacBook Air? It just might be. The refreshed laptop has been nothing more than a rumor until now, so we've got nothing approaching official to rely on thus-far.

Considering the time Apple is scheduling us for, it's possible we'll get something else to talk about. If not the MacBook Air, could we hear about that other big rumor — an iTunes streaming service. Much of the talk surrounding the iTunes streaming service suggest whatever Apple has planned is far from ready, but they might announce their plans for launch later on.

There may also be Apple TV news, or more news about HomeKit. Again, any guess is a good one. It just doesn't seem two full hours to discuss a wearable is probable, but time will tell.
