Apple introduces iPhoto for iPad, updates iMovie and iWork

Apple is pretty busy showing off plenty of new apps and games for what they are simply calling "the new iPad" and have just detailed a few important ones. Announcing the extremely popular iPhoto is available for the iPad and will only be $4.99 — available today. If you didn't think you could create on the iPad before, you certainly can now. Plenty of new features are available not to mention updates to iMovie, iWork, and Garage band.

With the all new iPhoto for iPad you can take pictures with the new camera, and then tweak things such as exposure, white balance, and saturation. Some of the new features include color rebalancing, bezel gestures, effects, multi-touch editing, direct beaming of photos to other devices including Apple TV, and even a new journal. Yes now you can save favorite photos and memories to a journal for quick and easy access to show off to friends and family.

Adobe has just recently published their own offering with Adobe Photoshop Touch so we'll be sure and compare the two this week and report our findings. Along with iPhoto Apple had a few other key features to the iLife and iWork set of apps. Talking about major updates to iMovie, iWork and the popular Garage Band although the little details weren't widely discussed as they were too busy showing off the all new iPad.

Apple did mention that all the apps including iWork have obviously been updated to support the new eye-churning Retina display on the new iPad and its high resolution. iWork support for 3D bar, line, and pie charts was included with the update and it's available today also for $9.99 or a free update for those who already have it.

iMovie also received a nice little update today that not only takes advantage of the Retina display, but also the new A5X processor and quad-core graphics. With iMovie and the new iPad users can now not only record full 1080p but you can edit and playback right on your device. The all new "Theater View" allows users to choose from up to nine different templates and the Trailers feature awesome graphics and legendary composers, orchestra's and more to add to movies. You can also share your movie trailers to YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook, and use AirPlay to stream them to Apple TV in high definition resolutions up to full 1080p.
