AMD Tigris notebook platform to get Computex launch?

AMD are expected to launch their new Tigris notebook platform at Computex 2009, according to the latest reports, combining the company's 45nm dual-core Caspian processor, RS880M-series chipset, and a M9x-series GPU.  Details of the Tigris platform leaked back in April, and AMD are believed to be positioning it for 14-inch notebooks and larger.

Notebooks based on Tigris will be able to support up to 12 USB 2.0 ports and six SATA connections, together with DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort video outputs.  That leaves AMD's Yukon platform to cater for 13-inch and smaller machines, such as the HP dv2

AMD may also give more details of the platform expected to follow Tigris, known as Danube on the leaked roadmap, and doubling CPU cores to four.  Danube will combine the SB8xxM series chipset with AMD's next-gen Manhattan GPU, together with support for DDR3 memory and USB 3.0.  Danube isn't expected to launch until 2010.
