ZTE Axon Max packs 6-inch Super AMOLED and Global VIP Passport

ZTE has announced the launch of its latest Axon flagship device called the Axon Max. The Axon Max is also the final model in the Axon flagship series of devices. Along with the launch of the Axon Max also comes a new Global VIP passport service. The smartphone has a 6-inch 2.5D Super AMOLED screen with slim bezels.

ZTE also equips the smartphone with a Hi-Fi audio playback and recording system thanks to an independent audio chipset. Axon max gets a 16MP rear camera and a 13MP front camera. Power comes from a 4140 mAh internal battery promising a full day use per charge. To extend the battery life the phone has five power saving modes that claim to extend battery life by up to 50%.

Quick charge 2.0 allows the phone to be charged for 0% to 60% in 30 minutes. Pricing for the smartphone is 2,799 RMB. The smartphone supports 4G connectivity and uses a Snapdragon 617 SoC. That chipset is mated with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Storage can be expanded via microSD cards if needed. Other features include GPS/A-GPS/GLONASS support, Bluetooth, a number of sensors, fingerprint scanner, and more. The OS is Android 5.1 with MiFavor 3.5 over the top right out of the box.
