fp  fp  yahooSo this isn’t really new technology, or even and entirely new concept, however most companies that tried it previously had it as their main feature, whereas for Yahoo it is just an added bonus. Previous iterations of such a service either failed miserably, or began charging money, not this one, its completely free.

With messaging prices on the rise for a la carte messages, this may be the best way to send a message to a cellular user. I mean, Sprint just upped their prices to $.20 per message a la carte and everyone else is still sitting at $.15 per message, for now.

So if you need to send a message use your phone’s web capabilities to access your email account and send it that way. Or get on a computer, log into your Yahoo account and send them and SMS message.

    GoDaddy webmail has been doing this for at least a year now….why is Yahoo just catching up now?
