The more I read, the more I want one of these, let me share, most tablets require you use a pen or stylus of some sort in order to use the screen as an input device, not this one. You can use your fingers if you want, that single feature alone makes me want one of these now.

Toshiba Portege m700

Add to that the fingerprint reader, spill-proof keyboard, and accelerometer protected HDD and you are looking at quite the serious business tablet. There is also a built in webcam for personal use or for video conferencing with your partners/clients.

Its 12.1-inches in size and the screen is XGA resolution and LED backlit, so they are finally integrating more battery saving tech into tablets. The best part, its not astronomically priced, at least not for a tablet, it will cost you $1700 or more if you want one.

Had a chance to take a look at one of these close up and have to say the touch screen is impressive, laptop also feels very robust and is very easy to swivel screen and set to tablet and kiosk mode.

Just been onto Toshiba’s website and there is a demo available at http://www.toshiba.co.uk/m700

http://www.toshiba.co.uk/m700 – had a look at this as recommended, looks and sounds impressive – tablet pc’s seem to be coming out left right and centre. Have used toshiba before and have always been reliable and easy to use from my perspective
