Toshiba’s recently spotted netbook for Latin America, the NB105, is getting a UK cousin in the shape of the NB100.  The company has confirmed today that the 8.9-inch netbook will make it to shelves in October, with an Intel Atom 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 120GB hard-drive.

The display runs at 1024 x 600, and is topped with a VGA-quality 0.3-megapixel webcam.  WiFi b/g and ethernet are supported, and there’s a VGA output and trio of USB 2.0 ports.  Yes, you guessed it, another case of netbook-by-numbers.  You can see a video demo of the NB105 here.

Both Windows XP and Linux versions will be available, with battery life for both models quoted at 3 hours 47 minutes.  Available in three colors – black, silver and gold – the range will start from £260 ($470).
