The Blackberry 8707 Abroad in Japan

The title says it all.  Darrin took the Blackberry 8707 to Japan on a recent trip, and to his surprise, it works.  He reports that SMS, Email, Phone, voicemail, synching to iLife on the Mac works just as if he’s back in NYC.  Web browsing is the only function that didn’t work.  I’m betting my left nut that he’ll be paying an arm and a leg for international roaming fees!  Hey Darrin, ping me when you get back from Japan.  I want to know how much your phone bill was ☺.
