VIA unveils new ARTiGO A1200 DIY PC

If you're the sort who likes to roll your own media computers, VIA has a new and slim fanless offering that might catch your eye. The machine is called the ARTiGO A1200 and the machine is only 3 cm thick. The overall dimensions are 24.3 cm x 12.4 cm x 3.0 cm, and it runs a 1 GHz VIA Eden X2 dual core processor.

VIA Technologies unveils fanless AMOS-3002 carputer

VIA has unveiled a new and very small computer aimed at use in the in-vehicle control, digital signage, and kiosk markets. The new computer is called the AMOS-3002will and it uses a dual core processor and measures a compact 197 mm x 104 mm x 49 mm. The processor inside the machine is a 1 GHz Eden X2 combined with the VX900H MSP.

VIA labs is showing off an interesting new USB 3.0 cabling solution at CES 2012. The cable is a USB 3.0 Active Optical Cable (AOC) solution that allows the user to shoot bandwidth hogging content like HD video and more over long distances using the USB 3.0 port on a computer. The tech is powered by the VIA Labs VO510 5Gb Optical Transceiver.
