Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play caught in wild

It’s obviously the day for unannounced smartphones to get caught in the wild. After a duo of HTC devices were spotted, it’s the turn of Sony Ericsson’s well-leaked XPERIA Play – aka the PlayStation Phone – which is currently considered a lock-in for MWC 2011 next month. A SlashGear tipster sent in this shot of Sony Ericsson’s gaming handheld being thumbed on the Tube.

Sony PlayStation Suite & PS Store for Android gaming

The Sony NGP isn’t the company’s only gaming announcement; there’s also the PlayStation Suite, a new download store and licensing program that promises to bring PlayStation gaming to Android devices. The PS Suite combines a new PlayStation Store for Android 2.3 devices and above – and which will be initially populated with PSOne classic titles – and a development program for coders to produce their own titles for inclusion in that store.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play gets pre-release preview [Video]

Sony Ericsson's MWC 2011 announcements keep getting chipped away; first the Hallon got an in-depth preview, and now it's the turn of the XPERIA Play to get the same. PlayStation Phone caught running PS1 ROMs on video

Video of the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone in action has been caught online, showing the XPERIA Play branded handset running a PS1 emulator and playing Resident Evil 2 and Rage Racer. The clip, spotted by Edge Magazine, shows the unannounced smartphone loading an app called ROM Buddy and then playing titles from Sony's original PlayStation console. Read The Full Story

Sony Ericsson's PlayStation Phone - aka the XPERIA Play - has popped up in the wild again, this time staging a family renunion of sorts with a variety of Sony PlayStation portables and Sony Ericsson handsets. Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone leaked & previewed

Sony Ericsson refused to talk PlayStation when we met with them yesterday and fondled the XPERIA Arc, but that isn't stopping the persistent leaks of the SE PlayStation Phone itself (aka the XPERIA Play). Chinese site IT168 managed to grab an extended play with the gaming smartphone, finding it powered by Qualcomm's 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 and Adreno 205 GPU. Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone Shows Off Android 2.3, New Logos

While we're left waiting for Sony Ericsson to make the PlayStation Phone official, we'll just have to accept the continuous leaks of the device that keep popping up. This time around, the lucky owner manages to have two on hand to show off. However, we do get to see what version of Android the device, which will be known as either the Zeus Zi or Xperia Play (more than likely) when it launches, is running -- along with a new logo on the bottom-left of the slide-out board.
